CAMPING
We know the power of art for its ability to convene and bring together diverse audiences willing to question their values, actions, beliefs and decisions.
We also know that current times demand to redefine the value of art and culture, but that we will not be able to do so without creating environments in which it is possible to share commitments among interested people.
With the ambition to be more relevant, permeable and participatory, we have created CAMPING, an initiative that will open the gallery space at NF/ NIEVES FERNANDEZ to various cultural actors, so that they can freely develop and exhibit their projects and creations. Taking the exhibition space as a support for their actions, the various actors will display their temporary projects interacting with the exhibition installed at that time in the gallery.
VARIATION
VARIATION is a collaborative project by Galerie Sator and NF/NIEVES FERNANDEZ, that aims to broaden artist’s international visibility trough solo proposals in Madrid and Paris.
The first edition of VARIATION took place in Paris, in the galerie Sator at Le Marais, where the project ‘Noli me tangere’ by Clara Sánchez Sala was open to the public from Saturday October 15th till Saturday October 22nd, 2022.

no place is an experimental platform for the exhibition of contemporary art. A project promoted jointly by four galleries, namely Nueveochenta (Colombia), Arróniz (Mexico), Michael Sturm (Germany) and NF/NIEVES FERNÁNDEZ (Spain), it aims to generate new experiences for the public via an alternative production model.
Operating under a collaborative system, so that the tools, the teams and resources of each member are available to others, no place is a collective effort to produce and finance events where the focus of attention rests completely on the artists’ work. In this sense, it is an unprecedented experiment, and one with which the galleries seek to contribute to the transformation of an established reality as typically sought by all agents linked to the art world.

In compliance with the sanitary measures adopted by the competent authorities of the Spanish Government and the Autonomous Community of Madrid to control the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus), NF / NIEVES FERNÁNDEZ will remain closed to the public until further notice.
Nevertheless, we’re joining #stayathome and we’ll be sharing diverse contents through here and via our mailing, thanks to our wonderful artists which, within their current constraints, will offer us online studio visits, catalogues from their exhibitions, their favorite playlists or books that have always inspired them. We’re doing all this because nothing will take away our joy to carry on and, as Louise Bourgeois said, ‘art is a guaranty of sanity’.
